One for Jennifer.

This is the angriest Canadian EVER:

Now all y’all just go away, I got shit to do.  So little alcohol, so much time.  Wait.  Strike that.  Reverse it.

The stage is going to collapse and it’s going to be a big bummer.
    Awww. Geddy.

  2. Sprinklers. Sprinklers?

    Sprinklers!

    …or not.

  3. See, this is what Canadian Flag Day leads to.

    Angry Canadians!

Didja check out the new episode of TWD, Z?

Now we’re getting down to it. See, there’s no moral puzzle in, crap, what’s the word, not killin’, maybe RE-killin’ zombies, ’cause, well, they’re ZOMBIES and they want to eat your fucking brains, Einstein!! Cripes. So we tried to get all worked up and weirded out by killing all the old dood’s zombie extended family in the barn, but fer crissakes on a rope, THEY WERE ALREADY DEAD. Yawn, right?

So now we’re exploring the real moral challenge of a post apocalyptic world. There’s predatory human, and there’s limited resources. You gotta protect your tribe from the predators, but you also have to be careful about taking in strangers. Always gonna lead to conflict, and there’s no complex conflict resolution in that world.

    Just killin’…

  5. yeah. although low on zombie content, I thought the whole thing was a setup for Ranger Rick’s sudden development of Hard Bark.

He gave Tweedledee and Tweedledum just enough rope to reveal themselves as Not Good, and didn’t hesitate when the decision was plain.

So how long until he starts popping them BEFORE they are plainly Not Good?

And how long before he realizes that Shane now falls into that category?

So we tried to get all worked up and weirded out by killing all the old dood’s zombie extended family in the barn

I thought the whole setup was for the shot to Sofia. Sure, she was Zom, but still one of the Tribe. We all KNEW she was going to turn up as undead, but to have her put down in front of everybody like that. And Ranger Rick did it with no hesitation….

    He’s turning, man….

  6. mikey says:

Oh yeah. That was Rick making the statement. He could out-shane Shane. Shane’s losing it anyway – he’s way too unstable to be counted on – I’m looking for Rick to have to tip Shane over in the finale. But killing the two doods in the bar? That was totally set up by shooting Sofia….

  7. mikey says:

Although, frankly, I thought the Asian kid would take the fat guy. He just stood there. They can’t decide who he is, and that’s a little frustrating. He’s Rambo when he’s alone, and he’s a statue when Rick’s there…

  8. yeah, once he was able to shoot Sofia, then the Two Dudes From Pittsburgh were not too troubling.

I was just kind of tickled by the lack of hesitation. Weren’t you always disdainful of Ranger Rick’s touchy-feely tendencies?

  9. mikey says:

Well, we’ll see next ep if he spends half an hour in existential moral agony. If not, it’s all good…

  10. Jennifer says:

    I almost missed this. Darn.

  11. that was the intent, Jennifer. Then I could have guilt tripped you about it FOREVER.

Go ahead, tell me how I fucked up this time.
